By Richard Ali Imaghodor

Klay Thompson scored a season-high 41 points whilst fellow splash brother Stephen Curry put up 33 points as the Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets 127-120 in their first road victory.

Despite shooting a career low from the three at just 37.7%, Thompson was hot from start to finish and went 10 for 13 behind the arc as well as an efficient 14 of 23 from the field.

Curry found it difficult to get going early in the game after starting the game off 0-3 from 3-point range, but by the end of the game, he shot 7 of 14 from the triple and overall went 11 of 20. He put in a season high 15 assists, which is one off his career high.

The Rockets were down early but rallied a 37-21 second quarter to keep themselves in the contest then the Warriors flexed their renowned 3-point shooting late into the ball game.

Curry made a huge three to put the Warriors up by six with 2 minutes remaining.

Curry then closed the game off with an audacious step back three which put the Warriors up by nine and done his “night night” celebration.

Andrew Wiggins put up 22 points whilst shooting an efficient 6 of 11 from the three-point line.

Golden State are now 8-9 in their underwhelming start to the season and have broken their awful 0-8 run on the road.

Kevin Porter Jr for the Rockets scored 30 points, whilst rookie Jabari Smith put up 22.

Jalen Green struggled with just 16 points and shot 4 of 15 from the field and 1 of 8 from 3-point range with a -24 +/-.

The Rockets are now 3-14, and sit 15th in the Western Conference, the team also have their eyes set on acquiring Victor Wembanyema in next year’s NBA Draft.
