Brazil vs Switzerland Match Preview

Neymar suffered an ankle injury in the second half of Brazil’s 2-0 victory over Serbia and Brazil’s Tite confirmed Neymar’s status within the Brazil squad.
“Don’t worry, Neymar will play the World Cup. He will keep playing, you can be sure about that” Tite said after the injury.
Brazil have overall been on fine form, not only an exciting team offensively but a team that has conceded only two goals in their last five games.

Switzerland beat Cameroon on Matchday one thanks to Cameroonian born striker Breel Embolo 1-0. A win against the Brazilians will send them top of Group G with them currently second place due to goal difference.
The Swiss have also been on impressive form over their last five matches as they have conceded just two goals within those games.
Brazil will not only have the absence of Neymar in mind, but they will also need to consider who can fill in for the injured Danilo, who was forced off against Serbia.
Brazilian veteran Dani Alves is the expected replacement for Danilo.
Brazil are expected to field the same team that started against Serbia but will bring in reinforcements to replace both Neymar and Danilo. Richarlison who’s on brilliant form, starting the World Cup with two goals against the Serbians.

On the other hand, Switzerland do not have any fresh injury concerns ahead of the matchup against Brazil. They are expected to make no changes to their starting eleven.

In terms of the head-to-head results between the two nations, Brazil has the better head-to-head with three victories against the Swiss.
Switzerland meanwhile has two wins with both teams drawing four times in their last nine meetings. Their last meeting ended in a draw in the previous World Cup campaign in Russia back in 2018, where they were both in the same group.
A win for both teams will put one of them in pole position to qualify as the group winners.
