Ronaldo officially leaves Man United immediately by ‘Mutual Agreement’

By Kenneth Melheim

Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving Manchester United with ‘immediate effect’ following controversial Piers Morgan Interview.

It was made clear by the club in an official statement where they stated that the departure was by ‘mutual agreement’.

The statement also said that “The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.”

They also added that “Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”

The controversial interview that started all of this, included Ronaldo saying that the current Man United Boss, Erik ten Hag, didn’t “show him any respect” and that he felt “betrayed by the club.

He also attacked the state of the club, saying that the club had been going backwards since he was there in his first spell and he also criticised the Glazers, who own the club.

Ronaldo is currently away at international duty in the World Cup with Portugal, so we will most likely have to wait till after the tournament in Qatar is finished before learning where the superstar might head next.
